Praise and Prayer
November 30, 2011
"Blessed are you, and praiseworthy, O Lord, the God of our fathers, and glorious forever is your name. For you are just in all you have done; all your deeds are faultless, all your ways right, and all your judgments proper."
- Daniel 3:26-27
Greetings:
Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! This is the month when we take time to give thanks for the many blessings God has given us. I thank God for my loving family who supports me in this ministry and also for my friends who are a constant source of encouragment. I give thanks for all the talented volunteers and faithful benefactors who allow this ministry to continue as we begin our 13th year! And I especially thank God for the special honor of being called to minister to these beautiful women and to share my witness of 'Hope in God' with countless others. What an awesome privilage and undeserved honor to be an instrument of God's healing grace for so many!
Since my last update, I attended the international Healing Vision Conference in Wisconsin, sponsored by Vicki Thorn, founder of Project Rachel and the National Office for Post Abortion Reconcilliation and Healing. It had been 12 years since the last Healing Vision Conference and during those years there have been two men's conferences. This conference covered both women and men and I had the wonderful opportunity to listen, learn and network with experts in the various fields that encompass abortion recovery. I felt affirmed in my ministry and made some wonderful friends. It helped to broaden my vision on how men are hurt and reignited my passion for helping women!
Thanks for your prayers for 'Kathy' (not her real name) a woman who is ready for Step 7 in the Ten Step Program. She is progressing very well and quickly too. We appreciate your prayers for the graces necessary to be reconcilled and healed. God bless you!
Prayers are needed for tomorrow when I will have a get acquainted meeting with 'Cybil' (not her real name). Please pray that she will be filled with God's peace and trust in His desire to heal her.
Join me in prayer this coming Saturday, December 3, for the First Saturday Mass and devotions at St. Anthony Church, 379 N. Warman Avenue, Indianapolis. The 8:15 am. Mass is for Healing Hidden Hurts ministry. Confessions will be available during holy hour. You are most welcome to come and pray for God's blessings upon the ministry and the women who benefit from it.
Prayer power needed for next Monday, December 5, when I will be speaking to the Junior class at Roncalli high school, Indianapolis. May my witness empower them to become more proactive in whatever ways they may be called to be life-givers. Many thanks to Right to Life of Indianapolis for providing materials for the students!
I am so grateful for the opportunity to speak at St. Monica Church, Indianapolis during the Masses on January 14/15. Besides ministering to women individually, speaking during the Mass bears the greatest fruit and ripples far beyond those in attendance. Please pray with me for God's grace to touch those in need of reconcilliation with God, and for more pastors to open their doors to this message of God's mercy during the holy Mass.
My heartfelt condolences to Judy Chapman, former treasurer, on the recent death of her mother. May Rita and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen!
