Praise and Prayer Late October

An update on the ministry by means of a monthly post by Debbie.
“Remember the Christian life is one of action, not of speech and daydreams.  Let there be few words and many deeds, and let them be done well.”  St. Vincent Pallotti

Greetings:

I thank God for all the opportunities to share my witness of God’s Mercy during October and November.  I am grateful for an interview with M.J. Crowder on Catholic Radio Indy 89.1 F.M., on their popular program“Faith in Action”, which aired last week.  It should be available soon on www.catholicradioindy.org  Look at the bottom of your screen under Faith in Action program interview archives.

On Wednesday, November 4th I will be speaking at Theology on Tap at Vito’s Restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue downtown Indianapolis.  This is a young adult crowd, so come with your friends, and have a wonderful Italian meal and listen as I share the work of Healing Hidden Hurts ministry around 7:00 pm.

On Saturday, November 7th you are invited to attend First Saturday Mass at 8:15 am. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Indianapolis.  The Mass intention is for Healing Hidden Hurts ministry, and is followed by a holy hour with a communal Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet.  Confession will be available and we close with benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

On Sunday, November 8th I will be speaking at the 10:15 am. Mass at Church of the Holy Cross, 125 N. Oriental Street, Indianapolis.  This is located on the near east side of Indianapolis.  All are welcome to join us for the Sunday liturgy.

On Sunday, November 15th at 2:00 pm. we will be celebrating Healing Hidden Hurts Tenth Anniversary with a special Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Anthony Church, Indianapolis.  This Sunday liturgy will be at my home parish and Father John McCaslin, pastor will be the main celebrant.  Father Paul Landwerlen will be concelebrating and possibly other priests will join in this most perfect prayer of thanksgiving, the Eucharist.

Please pray with me for the Lord to provide and guide the growth of the ministry.  Two years ago the Lord gave me a word from scripture.  “I will rebuild my tent in you with joy!”, I have been praying and discerning what this means for the future, and hope to share with you at our special Anniversary Mass celebration.  All are welcome to attend…hope to see you there!

Many have expressed their heartfelt prayers for my husband Wally, who began his faith formation through the RCIA program. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) on the feast of St. Monica.  Recently, we discovered the Easter Vigil this year falls on April 3rd , my husband’s birthday.  This will be the day when the catechumens will be baptized, confirmed and receive first Holy Communion.  I can’t describe what joy it brings to my heart as I watch and listen to him as he seeks Truth.  Please keep us in your prayers that God will bless  him with understanding to embrace by faith the Word of God, Jesus Christ, as his Lord and Savior.

Currently in Indianapolis, and throughout the United States, the 40 Days for Life campaign is in progress.  I highly encourage anyone who has the time to prayerfully consider spending an hour at the Planned Parenthood on Georgetown Road & 86th Street, as a witness to our belief in the sanctity of all human life.  There are women who turn away from having an abortion because they see Christians praying outside the abortion facility.  For more information check out www.40daysforlife.com/Indianapolis

Many thanks for those who have been praying specifically for the women going through the 10-step program.  One woman recently completed the 10-step program, and she is grateful for God’s many blessings, especially the gift of peace.  The other woman will complete Step 10 next week, she had a major breakthrough a few weeks ago.  She also is very grateful to the Lord for His many blessings, especially because hidden hurts were revealed and healed by the grace of our Merciful God!

I am grateful to God for each of you who have been praying for these women as they progressed through the 10-step program…may you receive an abundance from the Lord!   I wish to especially thank and acknowledge our Seminarians from the Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary who have also been praying for these women.  Let us in turn give thanks to God and ask for His blessings to be upon them during their formation, as they prepare for the holy priesthood.  May God bless all our priests, may they be good and holy, and grow in union with the most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Great High Priest!

Please remember to pray everyday FOR ALL WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN ABORTION, for repentance, confession and conversion of heart!

God bless each of you,
Debbie Miller  image001
