Praise and Prayer October
Oct 14 2008
An update
on the ministry by means of a monthly post by
Debbie.
“Do you
indeed like gods pronounce justice and judge fairly,
you men of rank? Nay, you willingly commit
crimes; on earth you look to the fruits of
extortion…Oh God, smash their teeth in their
mouths; the jaw-teeth of the lions, break, O
Lord? Let them vanish like water flowing off;
when they draw their bow, let their arrows be
headless shafts. Let them dissolve like a
melting snail, like an untimely birth that never sees
the sun... And men shall
say…”Truly there is a reward for the
just; truly there is a God who is judge on
earth!” Psalm 58:
2-12
Greetings!
Wow! Concerning the scripture verse…I write the text first then pray and open the scriptures and use what God places before me…this time once again I am amazed at the living word of God who may be speaking to us today concerning our upcoming elections….awesome!
I Praise and Thank the Lord for the wonderful blessings that are happening in the ministry these past few weeks…I spoke at St. Vincent de Paul parish in Shelbyville and was very blessed by the good people in that parish. Two people registered for the Training, and a family requested prayers for Nicki, a young woman who is suffering from a past abortion. May the love of her family, along with our prayers, help her to return to Christ and seek the healing He has for her.
I Praise the Lord for the wonderful Catholic Men’s Conference…this is the first year Healing Hidden Hurts had a booth. Around 1,000 men attended this wonderful conference and many stopped by the booth for me to share with them the work of the ministry. Some shared with me their hidden hurts, others wanted to be intercessors and offer support. These Godly men were Awesome!
Prayers are needed for one lady who is to begin the 10-step program next week, and prayers are needed for another one who is having health issues that need to be resolved before she begins. (she has surgery on the October 10th), so please pray for all the women going through the program and their facilitators.
I Praise the Lord and thank Him for several women who have registered for the Facilitator Training in November. We hope to expand this ministry to be available to the Hispanic community as well if the Lords sends bi-lingual participants. I am very excited and look forward to preparing these women to help others in this most excellent work of God’s Mercy.
Prayers are needed for the upcoming parish talks this month. St. Anthony and Holy Trinity is this weekend, October 4/5. This will be the first time I will speak to the Hispanic community through a translator, pray that they will understand the message clearly. Also I will be speaking at the Masses at Ss. Francis and Clare on October 25/26th. Please pray that these parishes will receive the message of God’s mercy and that Healing Hidden Hurts ministry will reap abundant fruit for His Glory and the salvation of souls.
I Praise the Lord and thank Him for the opportunity to share my witness and the amazing works of the ministry at the Chili supper at St. Louis de Montfort on October 14th. This dinner will raise badly needed funds for Healing Hidden Hurts ministry. I hope to have this talk recorded for future use…please pray someone will have the equipment to make this happen. I have had several requests for my testimony on a CD for conferences and this would be a perfect opportunity to record, if it pleases the Lord. Prayer and Fasting is needed for our Presidential Election November 4th. Along with many of you, I myself have been praying, fasting and offering sacrifices everyday for our nation to return to God. I am beginning today, October 1, to offer to God a ‘30 day prayer and fast’ for this most crucial election and I encourage all of you to join me in whatever way you feel God calls you. In addition, I will be actively involved by wearing candidate buttons and will have a party yard sign as a visual witness that I vote pro-life. Many of us are in places of leadership in our parish communities and neighborhoods, and a visual witness may carry more weight than we realize.
“Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words” St. Francis of Assisi
“Praise the Lord, for He is good; sing praise to our God, for He is gracious; it is fitting to praise Him. The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem; the dispersed of Israel he gathers. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds…Great is our Lord and mighty in power; to His wisdom there is no limit. The Lord sustains the lowly; the wicked he casts to the ground.” Psalm 147: 1-6
I Praise and Thank the Lord for the wonderful blessings that continue in the ministry these past few weeks…I spoke at my home parish of St. Anthony, Indianapolis a few Sunday’s ago, and was very blessed. I received so much support and encouragement along with hugs and promises of prayer for the works of the ministry. My testimony was also interpreted for our Hispanic community and they received the message very well. Diana Torres who acted as my interpreter wants to attend our Facilitator Training and offer this ministry to our Spanish speaking sisters in Christ. May God bless her willingness to serve and give her the desire of her heart!
Prayers are needed for a woman who has begun the 10-step program and will meet with me on Fridays, and another lady who will begin the program on Wednesday s after she recovers from surgery. So please pray for ALL the women going through the program and their facilitators. It is their personal encounter with Christ that sets them free from the bondage of this horrible sin, so please keep them in prayer!
I Praise the Lord and thank Him for the women who will be attending the Facilitator Training in November. So far some of our active facilitators are returning for a refresher and some are helping me with the teaching. We have some who are new representing different cities who have expressed interest taking this program back to their communities. I am very excited to see how the ministry will continue to grow and expand to reach hurting women with this work of God’s Mercy.
Prayers are needed for tonight as I share my testimony at the Chili Supper at St. Louis de Montfort which is co-sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. I have heard from some of you who plan to attend and I look forward to seeing you this evening! Please pray for me during my testimony…it is only by the grace of the God and the work of the Holy Spirit that I am able to share my personal testimony to give witness to God’s great goodness and merciful love. For information about the supper contact Rosie Zatkulak at (317) 843-0515 or rzatkulak@sbcglobal.net. Also I will be speaking at the Masses at Ss. Francis and Clare on October 25/26th. Please pray this parish community will receive the message of God’s mercy and that Healing Hidden Hurts ministry will reap abundant fruit for His Glory and the good of souls.
And I give Praise and Glory to God for a wonderful gift…I have been given a trip to Medjugorie by a friend of the ministry…to refresh my spirit and be renewed in faith. Please pray for safe travel and God’s blessings. What an awesome God we serve….may He be Praised!
And last but not least…please pray everyday for ALL who have participated in abortion. That the good Lord will give them the grace to repent of their sin and be converted to Christ Jesus, our Savior and Lord! Remember…it will be through the conversion of hearts that abortion will end!
God bless you all!
